Bio: GEOFFREY P. JONES
Co-General Partner Houston Pavilions LP

Geoffrey Jones, individually and as CEO of Houston-based Texas Real Estate Fund, Inc. (TREF), has developed, owned and invested in shopping centers, office buildings, warehouses and residential projects in the metropolitan Houston area since the 1980s. TREF was founded by Jones in 1987 to develop and purchase real estate in Houston.

Included among these projects are the Compass Bank Building and the Cedarstone Office Complex in The Woodlands, Northdale Plaza in Kingwood, April Pointe Plaza on Lake Conroe, Theiss Oaks Square in the FM 1960 area and a separately gated residential enclave of luxury homes located inside the Gates of West Oak, where President George H. W. Bush currently resides.

Mr. Jones was the founder of Pinnacle Homes and currently is a partner in one of the most prominent luxury home-building firms in The Woodlands, Texas. He is one of the original founders of First National Bank of The Woodlands (now Compass Bank).

Jones managed the global real estate activities for Cooper Industries, Inc., through much of the ‘90s. His responsibilities included the total scope management and administration of Cooper’s 600-property domestic and international real estate portfolio, which was then valued at nearly $1 billion. In 2002, Jones negotiated two major portfolio sales in excess of $200 million for Goldman Sachs and a major northeastern real estate fund.

Jones' real estate career spans 35 years. Previously he worked for Gerald Hines Interests on two separate occasions. He served as Senior Project Manager for the rehab of Philadelphia's historic 30th Street Station. He also served as one of the managers of Houston's famed Galleria.

Jones graduated from the University of Houston in 1975 with a B.A. in Marketing/Journalism. He completed the Rice University Management Program in 1984 and holds an MCR (Master of Corporate Real Estate) designation from the International Institute of Corporate Real Estate.

He has conducted retail lectures at the University of Houston and has written numerous articles for trade journals and other publications. Jones was formerly a director of The Woodlands/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas.
