For the past two holiday seasons, Pup Squad and Houston Pavilions have hosted the Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Center, placing more than 100 dogs and cats in forever homes.
Due to its overwhelming success, Houston Pavilions is proud to host the Pup Squad Adoption Center all year long! Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (weather permitting), the adoption center will be open. It’s next to Books-a-Million on the corner of Fannin and Polk.
Pup Squad is an animal rescue group whose goal is to rescue orphaned puppies, kittens and nursing litters from the streets or other life-threatening situations and match them with permanent adoptive homes, as well as to provide support and education to these adopters and the community at large. Pup Squad also works with other community rescue efforts to promote spay/neuter, adoption and humane animal care to ultimately reduce the number of animals euthanized in Houston and surrounding areas. Go to www.pupsquad.org for more information about animal rescue and adoption.
